I completed multiple trainings to become a care coordinator and worked for a few well-known brands both in Adelaide and Brisbane. Disillusioned by the lack of care being provided, and the focus being about money not the client, I decided to support our community by starting Together We Care. We provide true person-centred support in a loving and supportive environment. Our success is based around our team. Working for Sir Richard Branson, he imparted that if you look after your staff they will care for your customer. I realised that we could raise the standard of care by implementing this culture into our company.

My Mum was a customer of Together We Care right from beginning and what I noticed was there was more consistency around carers attending to services. It was a much more supportive approach to care and friendly environment where both my Mum and I were supported. After working for myself for a number of years an opportunity arose to join the Together We Care team and I jumped at the chance due to my previous experience with the company.

I have owned and operated by own hairdressing business for the past 10 years and love being with my customers. I was seeking another challenge where I could offer my customer service experience along with my desire to really make a difference in the lives of the people that I serve. I have studied a diploma in community services in case management and was recommended to contact Jay from Together We Care from one of his past co-workers as she stated he is doing care in a whole new way where all people flourish. I have over 15 years’ experience in working in the community, my passion is for helping the disadvantaged people of our society and have a heart for ensuring the best care for all Australians. I completed my Diploma in Community Services in 2005 and since then have dedicated my life to serving the community, some of the work I have previously completed is assisting long term unemployed as well as people with disabilities gain meaningful employment, youth services, and most recently working in a Special Assistance school. That is why I believe working for Together we care is such a dream come true as this organisation truly follow through on their high standards of care for the elderly. I am excited to work for a company that don’t just say they care, they put their words into action.
